Prof. (Dr.) Manvi Seth is Professor and Head in the Department of Museology, National Museum Institute. She has been teaching in the Department of Museology for past ten years. Prior to this, she worked as the Curator, Decorative Arts, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, City Palace, Jaipur. At the National Museum Institute she has conceptualized and coordinated research projects in the areas of Visitor Studies, Museum Education and Documentation (Intangible Cultural Heritage). She has also curated many exhibitions. She has coordinated and conducted various in-service training programmes for museum personnel from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Ladakh. She has coordinated international and national seminars and conferences. She is visiting faculty and examiner at various universities. She has guided many MA dissertations and is currently supervising four PhD theses on various areas of Museology. She has presented papers at many national and international seminars and conferences. Prof. (Dr.) Seth is the recipient of prestigious Nehru Trust UK Visiting Fellowship. She has visited museums across India, United Kingdom, United States of America, Chile and Austria. She is a member of International Expert Review Board for Distance Learning of the Commonwealth Association of Museums (CAM). She is also on the Executive board of the Indian committee of International Council of Museums (INC-ICOM).
