Besides other activities, the department of Museology regularly conducts various interactive educational workshops on different aspects of museum functions with special target groups with the aim to uplift the practical revelation to the students of Museology. Likewise many International and National conferences were organized by the department which enhanced the knowledge of the students and the Research Scholar.
 
 
  • The department of Museology organised a day long workshop for the children of the Pediatric Ward, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The workshop was organised with the support of Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), Delhi.

  • The workshop is a part of the project 'Museum goes to Hospital'. 50 children from the pediatric ward, AIIMS participated in the workshop. The workshop program consisted of guided gallery tours, discussions and storytelling within the National Museum galleries and activities in the activity room. The activities centered around museum objects and consisted of clay modelling, drawing and painting, puzzles etc.

    The workshop was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Manvi Seth and Manjari Agrawal. Research Fellows, Juhi Sadiya, Sushil Kumar and the students of II Semester, Department of Museology participated in the planning, organization and execution of the workshop.
 
   
 
  • A workshop on ‘Conservation & Display, Museology & Education’ was organized by the National Museum Institute in collaboration with University of Applied Arts Vienna at the National Museum Institute from 11th- 15th February, 2013.
   
 
  • Workshop ‘Peace across borders’ was organized from 28th July – 1st August, 2012. The participants included students from Pakistan and India.
   
 
  • Educational workshop with DIET trainees held from 11th – 15th January 2011. The aim behind this workshop was to develop activities for the school children on the basis of their curriculum. Activity sheets were prepared by the trainees of DIET on objects of Indus valley civilization gallery and Miniature gallery.
   
 
  • A one day education workshop for underprivileged children on 22nd April 2011
   
 
  • One day education programme was organized for the students of Shafiq Memorial School, (Urdu medium) on 4th May 2011.
   
 
  • A two days educational workshop for B.El.Ed trainees from Miranda House. 30th -31st May 2011.
   
 
  • A two days Educational workshop and Cultural performance for mentally challenged children on 4th-5th August, 2011, collaboration with Central Institute of Mental Retardation, Thiruvananthapuram.
   
 
  • A day workshop for the 8th standard students of Shafi Memorial School (Urdu Medium) was conducted by the department on 22nd October, 2011, in which guided tour was given by the students itself.
   
 
  • The Art and Craft workshop for mentally challenged children was held at Anchal School, New Delhi on 25th November, 2011.
   
 
  • A workshop on museum education titled ‘Art Workshop using Museum Objects” was organized by the department (for mentally challenged children of Anchal School). 15-23 April 2009.
   
 
  • Museum, Non-formal Education & Underprivileged – Annual Educational Workshops organized in the National Museum for Street Children, 2004-2006. Similarly a five day Educational Workshop for Street Children was organized in the National Museum entitled ' Sangrhalaya Ke Jharokhe Se Harappa Sabhyata Ke Jivan Ki Jhalak', from 27th -31st March 06, where theatre used as an Interpretative Medium.
